Plusfile was founded in Cambridge, England in 1984.


From humble beginnings Plusfile began publishing diaries and notelets in 1984, in-house manufacturing soon followed. During the early 1990's the company moved to the same Cambridge location that exists today. Plusfile is now available from companies located on four continents.

Cambridge has a long and enduring history with printing and note taking, stretching back hundreds of years.

The Cambridge University Press established in 1534, is the oldest publishing and printing company in the world.

The University of Cambridge has stimulated minds of many famous notebook users since it was established in 1209. 61 Nobel Prizes have been awarded to Graduates, the most of any unversitry on the world. A further 88 Nobel Prizes have been awarded to affiliates of the university.

From Charles Darwin to Stephen Hawking, Isaac Newton to William Wordsworth; Cambridge alumni have long been ardent note takers.
